DID NOT MAKE IT

I must apologize from the bottom of my heart…. the night of November 10th I was feeling really bad – my stomach started cramping and I could not understand why—well that was just the beginning – I was sick to my stomach (throwing up) for over 7 days….I have never been that sick before in my life. I could not even talk or whisper without getting sick to my stomach…and it has taken me until today to sit long enough at my computer to leave a note as to what happened to me. I caught some vicious stomach virus that lasts a good 3-4 weeks…it takes what seems forever for your stomach to stop cramping  etc…every muscle in my body still hurts from it all.

Thank God I can finally sit up for a bit..and check on my emails and update the blog etc….I truly did not think I would be back to this point before the new year.

Well on to better and brighter things….the above flower is one that I digitally painted before I got sick….I love the color purple…I really do not like the white edging on the flower – I will have to work on that…. Well I did not make it the whole month of November for NABLOPOMO but there is always next year…I also wanted to THANK YOU ALL who sent me kind messages and such while I was missing…I so appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers…slowly but surely I am getting there.

I hope that December is just as creative as November was for you all….I am hoping it is for me…Thanks for stopping by..I so appreciate the company.

PRETTY IN PURPLE

 

Today I thought I would share a new digital painting I did recently…I forgot the name of this gorgeous flower but anything in purple I think looks marvelous (can you tell it is my favorite color…lol)

It took me a couple of weeks to complete this one – the veins are more detailed and i like the outer edges getting lighter. I painted this from a photo that a friend of mine sent me…she knows I love painting simple yet beautiful flowers…they just make me happy.

As a side note – the internet has not gone off in 24 hours so this is a beautiful thing also…lol.This is day 7 of my double challenge month – YAY!!!

PINK AND FLOWERY

Here is a digital painting I did from a photo a friend sent to me….to me it feels light and airy…I like that…I know I have a long way to go in digital painting but I am liking the process of growing and learning as I do each one. Of course it does not hurt that pink is one of my favorite colors…LOL.

Today is day 3 of my two November challenges…so far so good…I think I am getting the hang of it…I am enjoying the completion of my art work..right now I think that is the only thing that is keeping me energized…hmmm – immediate gratification works for me…lol.

NaBloPoMo and Create Art

OH YEA BABY – it is that time of year – write every day for a month or create something every day for a month—HOW EXCITING…..I have been so lame to not keep up with my blog – I think my enthusiasm and excitement for it died down incredibly.

But I am feeling re-energized right now so I am going to see how this will go….this is my third year of participating in both NABLOPOMO and CREATE ART EVERYDAY.

I hope you will stop by to see what I am showing as my creations this month…should prove to be interesting at least.

A ROSE IS A ROSE

As usual I am behind in my blogging but the good news about that is I am still creating – I am still playing with digital painting, and I am still creating zandoodles (previously known as zentangles)…and I am finding all of it very therapeutic – so I may not show up online too much but I am happy in my little corner just creating and healing and feeling renewed…right now in my life these are all beautiful things.

The rose above is a rose my daughter took a picture of from my garden – it is really wide open – it only lasted a couple of days afterwards….but I just had to paint it – the colors just caught my eyes and roses makes me feel special…unfortunately I could not fix the fuzziness too much when I went to fit in for uploading but I think you get the gist…..This is my submission this week to CED (creative everyday)

SUMMER PANSY

Here is the newest of my creations - a friend sent me this beautiful flower
and I just loved the colors in it. So of course I just had to digitally paint it and
add it to my collection.
I really like the way it came out - feels so summery and happy!!!
The colors just grab me - I love it!!
I am working on different things and you all will be seeing them soon...
in the meantime - can you just smell this lovely one?

BUNNIE'S ROSE

My Friend Bunnie sent me this picture because she wanted
to show me what
she was interested in sketching......I thought it was
beautiful and decided
to paint it digitally as a surprise for her.
I do like the way it came out - soft looking.Took me several
weeks but it felt very therapeutic working on it!
I also thought the colors were really sharp -
I really enjoyed painting this one - a creative healing and gift!!

BIG YELLOW ROSE

WOW - talk about falling off the face of the planet - no I didn't but I sure
disappear for long periods of time - I am sorry....
I thought I would upload a digital painting I recently completed...the good
news is I have stayed somewhat creative - it is very restrictive due to construction
happening at the old homestead - hopefully things will settle out soon...
all of my art supplies are packed away - our new computer/craft room is not ready
yet to move into.Anyway - in between the chaos I created this rose which I am really pleased
with - very soft to me and I love the yellow in it!
It took me several long weeks to complete it - I have no idea why but I
am glad it is done and I can finally share it.

YELLOW NARCISUSS

Yes I know - I have painted another yellow flower but it seems I am attracted to
very bright and vibrant colors and I cannot help myself - LOL.
Yellow is a color that makes people happy (whether they know it or not)....it
also gives off or makes one feel very energetic - so perhaps that
is why I am prone to painting more yellow flowers then other colors...hmmm!
Well it is Day 4 and here is my painting for today-

This is a yellow Narcisuss..almost looks like a daffodil--
I like finding pictures that have a bright subject and the background
is darker--makes those beautiful colors just stand out!!

PINK CHAMPAGNE

I am starting to meet so many lovely people through AEDM. Makes me feel really positive about doing these challenges. It is so easy for someone like me, who suffers from severe depression, to get overwhelmed easily - but this is my third year participating in AEDM and this year seems to be filled with more people who reach out to others. The creativity that I have noticed so far just amazes me..I am in awe~!~ Truly I would love a tenth of the talent that I have seen - just amazing. Here is my painting for today: Someone told me it was called "Pink Champagne". I like the name. I also love the pink in it - bright and fun. I am pretty happy with the results - do not worry - I will not be just painting all month - I am going to mix it up a bit because I do not want to feel pressured or bored with only creating one way... TWO-THIRTY DAY CHALLENGES

WOW - October just flew by me - I was a bit busy and it took off.

I was not really ready for November to start but here we go.
November is both Art Every Day Month and National Blog Posting Month...
Both are 30 day commitments sort of speak - of course rules were made
to be broken - but the gist is that you complete these projects by participating every
day for one month...last year I was able to do it - and I am going to try again this year.
I am kind of "cheating" here because I am going to use my art
every day as my post for blogging every day - kind of kill two birds with one stone--LOL.
Here is a flower that I digitally painted that I thought I would start off with.....

A yellow hibiscus - I like the way it turned out - tho it is kind of
difficult to see the stamen on it but in general - it came out nice.
So here's to a month of creativity and blogging...

SIMPLE SUNFLOWER

Here is a digital painting that I recently completed - it took me several weeks but I think
it turned out fairly well - I love doing paintings of nature - the colors to me are
always brighter and scream energy!
Sunflowers always made me smile seeing them looking at the sun and just growing.
To me, nature is beauty!

VIOLETS

Slowly but surely I am getting in grove of digital painting again....this time around it
seems to be taking longer for me to complete a painting but I am not pushing myself.
This is a violet - I really like the blue/purplish color it has. The picture is a lot sharper
in my file - but once uploaded it looks blurry - sheesh!

So how do you get yourself into the grove after not being creative for a period of time?
Would love to know how others have dealt with it!
Well again - I think I will enter this one in Creative Everyday...it is nice getting back into the swing of things~!~

YELLOW TULIP

Okay - I am stuck on yellow...at least for the last two days...but I saw this tulip and just
had to paint it....it was calling my name...lol.
Love the yellow....love the way it came out...super simple looking but I could almost smell it..
LOVE IT!!!

Still sleeping quite a bit...but that is ok....I think my body was starving for the rest.
Schools are open again (after a 5 day vacation) so the house should be a bit more quieter now.
The above creation is my entry today for CED.

YELLOW DAISY

Now this is a daisy - so mellow yellow...lol.
I love the yellow in it....love all the petals....this flower took me about 8 hours to complete.
It is A LOT bigger then shown above - which is why it took me so long.
I am very happy with the results...very satisfied that I got it finished.

Spent yesterday watching football - New England Patriots winning was a no brainer but
it broke my heart that Green Bay lost...but I am thrilled for the hometown New York Giants..
Should be a great SuperBowl.

Today it is only 43 in the sunshine state. Cold but to me it feels great!!!
Hopefully I will start to feel better soon...

PURPLE DAISY

WOW - look at that great purple color....don't ya just love it!!!
Purple really makes me happy....I seem to have a slight fetish with it...lol
I thought this one came out fairly decent - took about 6 hours to paint...but when I was finished
I was very pleased with the results and really like the purple.
Still feeling down and out right now...heading back to bed...
I will however be up later to watch FOOTBALL....I love both Green Bay and the Giants...but
I really would love to see Brett Favre win the superbowl.

SINGLE STEM ROSE

I just had to paint a rose - as I am sure I have said before - they are my favs...
I love the color of the rose in this one - it just makes the flower pop.

BLUEBERRY COLORED FLOWER

Isn't this just the most simpliest yet beautiful blueberry color flower?
It caught my eye and of course that meant I just had to paint it.
I love the blue/purple colors in it and how they just pop out of the image!
This one did not take too long...but for some reason - my puter kept freezing while I was
painting it...hmmm...I have no idea why!
I did manage to update our collaborative blog (A Mother & Daughter Prospective)...also this is my entry for today's CED!!

ORANGE CACTUS FLOWER

Yes - I completed another digital painting. This one took about 6 or more hours (give or take).
I love the orange hues in it....it is a flower from a cactus...so cool!
The original of this one is BIG BIG...but trust me it looks much better at this size.
I am very happy with the results...and when I had finished with it - I felt so relieved yet fulfilled if that makes any sense..
This is definitely my entry for CED - yayayay.
