LOVE SOME BUNNY

I have been spending my days with mega-surfing....finding things that are inspirational, topics that interest me, ideas for things to do etc...before I know it - hours have flown by - this really is a good thing. It has kept my mind busy (which is my first priority) and makes me feel like I am doing something good...moving forward.

I also have been busy creating my new blogs since AOL gave all their customers the boot..so I am trying to find peeps that I used to be in touch with at AOL...that is coming along well, I think.
Also in between - I am still creating my digital ATC cards...that keeps my muse happy.
So the love bunny above is my next extry for CED...I think it is cute - simple but cute!
Now this blog is NOT going anywhere - I am still using it for my art - my creativeness..but my everyday life blog and my inspirational share blog have now officially moved to blogger.
So again - in case I have missed anyone...Here are my new blogs:

SOME INSPIRATION

Before anyone asks - no I did not take the above photos - I wish I did but that is nearly impossible because I live in Florida and we do NOT have changing leaves like up north - that is one of the things I miss most but that is about it...lol
Someone sent me the above picture so that I could look at those colors again so I thought I would share it here - fall colors can be so inspirational.
The picture really makes me feel good - now if any of you get to experience leaves changing their colors - PLEASE send me pictures of what you see - I really do miss that - I have not seen that in person in over 20 years - hohum!!! I would say send me some leaves by snail mail but I am wondering how long they would keep their color..lol.

Okay - today on AOL (yes I am one of their customers but I do not pay for AOL - ever since it went free)..I have kept an everyday blog there for over 5 years...lots of history, ideas, thoughts and feelings...and today AOL sent me a letter to say I have a month to remove my web pages-journal pages and pictures that are stored there because they are closing it...OMG - that company really knows how to destroy and turn away customers...they are NUTS...(I was going to use more colorful adjectives but I am trying to curb my tongue).
So the rumor has it that we might be able to migrate our journals over to blogger (I hope so) so I have saved my journal name already - here is the link: CRAZY LIFE ...so save it - there is nothing there yet but definitely click on follow me and save the link - because next week they will test out the migration of some blogs and if it works then everything I have will be on blogger.
I have 1000's of pictures stored there - now that is going to take a while to download into my external hard drive..geez!!!
My web pages upsets me - I have no idea what I will do about those.
ANYWAY--
Below is a craft project that I thought was a lot of fun - so I am passing it along...

MONOPRINTING

Monoprinting is a process whereby only one print is pulled from the printing plate.

What You Need:

• Printmaking ink if you have it or a thick water-based paint. (Acrylic or tempera ... you can add flour to tempera to make it thicker and stickier like ink).
• Paintbrushes.
• Sheets of plexiglass (approx 12"x12") (any size - the roomier the better in my opinion) You can sometimes find plexiglass for next to nothing at your local lumber yard or hardware store. Just ask for the offcuts they normally throw away. You can also use old signs (the plastic ones) for this activity.
• Paper.
• A covered work area.
• Soft rubber brayer or small paint roller. (optional)
• Popsicle stick or pencil with eraser.

What You Do:

Method # 1

1. Using the brayer, roll ink out onto the plexiglass, covering it completely.
2. Using the end of a pencil or a popsicle stick, anything really, draw an image on the plexiglass.
3. Place paper on plexi and rub lightly.
4. Peel away paper.

Method # 2

1. Using the brayer, roll ink onto the plexiglass, covering it completely.
2. Place paper over plexiglass.
3. Using a pencil, draw an image on the paper.
4. When you peel away the paper, the image will have transferr ed itself.
5. This is very similar to using carbon paper.

Method # 3

1. Using your paintbrush, paint a design onto the plexiglass using as many or as few colours as you like. Work quickly ... don't let the paint dry!
2. Place paper over the plexiglass and rub lightly with the palm of your hand.
3. Peel away paper.
4. Sign your work.

**you do not have to use plexiglass - you can use a piece of strap glass or any smooth
surface like plexiglass - using it is great because it is SO easy to clean..no hassles!
The thicker the paint the better - you can also use plain fabric - instead of paper - truly the possibilities are endless and fun.....then after you have your newly decorated paper you can make journals or lil notebooks for gifts...again possibilities are endless..if you are going to make the paper for books or note books or such the paint color should be light - that way it can still be written on - you know what I mean?!-most of all - have fun**

FRAGMENTED ROSE - LOOKING FOR INPUT

I was able to finish this digital painting in time enough for today....a rose is a rose is a rose...
I really think I have a thing for roses.
I like it except for the lil white around the green leaves...it was suppose to be the peach fuzz sort of thing...but I just could not get it any more tighter....now if the image was only a thumbnail, it would look perfect.
But in general I do like the way it turned out!
I have a couple of questions to just throw out there to all of you - let me know if you
have an opinion about them:
Do you feel obligated to leave a comment when you visit a blog?
If you have a blog - Do you want people to comment?
Do you blog for yourself or for others or a combination of both?
If NO ONE ever commented on your blog - would you still write in it faithfully?
If someone comments on your blog - do you feel obligated to go to their blog (if they have one) and leave a comment out of courtesy?
I have read in several blogs - this same dilemma going on...this same burning question
being asked in different forms...so I want to know how you all feel.

A NEW BLOG TO DISCOVER

A fellow Blogger by the name of Maryann has a blog called Follow Your Bliss.
I just love reading her blog....NOW she has added on to her blog world and has started another blog called:
HANDMADE MONDAY
The purpose is to bring together artisans that create with their hands.
She will put out the call with a particular theme and then you can participate with
a handmade creation with that theme in mind...

BLOG BADGE

Well I noticed in my blog hopping this past week that a lot of peeps have badges for
their blogs/websites..that people can save to their computer and use on their pages.
So I thought I would make my own blog badge...I like the way it came out...
The black background made the colors pop...I tried transparent and white and the colors
and wording get lost...so I guess a black background it is.
This is 150x150....I thought the size was ok...any smaller and things get too blurry..
well thanks for looking...let me know what you think!

CREATE A CONNECTION

I have come across (after much blog hopping) several GREAT blogs, web sites, craft stores that
have really encouraged me to take my art to the next level...they have pushed those creative
ideas to the forefront...ideas are just swirling around in my head...
A great place that I have discovered - at least as a base to meet up with, other creative minds
is the Create A Connection..
I have been playing around with digital painting because it was new to me....I love digital
scrapbooking because I love saving those moments in pictures and words...
but I have always been drawn to altered arts, collages, a free feeling creative outlet that has
always been deep inside me...
Now that the weather has cooled down...I can finally get my craft room back in order and get
back to my passion.
Anyway--I encourage you to click on the above graphic and check out the site...at the site - on the left side is a whole list of other artists in their own right that you will surely find inspiration and ideas from.
You just never know what may spark your muse!
