7 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT MY ART STUDIO

I am running a bit behind in my Studio Friday entry...I really had to think about
random facts about my workspace/art studio that I am aware of ...
The topic is 7 random facts about my art studio space:

1- must have my LARGE cup of mountain dew next to me (sorry no pic)
2-must have my music with me (my zen mp3 player)(sorry about the blurry pic - best I could do)
3- have to be surrounded by my most used supplies:

(love my color pencils and markers - love color)
(gesso, gel medium, mod podge, glossy finish...love it all)

(love my ink pads)

(and a few other basics to my right)

4- Love creating with my daughter across from me...we chat once in a while...ask each
other's opinion about what we have been doing and how we feel about it...and so on
5-I can only sit and create for short periods of time before my legs and hips go numb..so
I create during a time of day when my body is feeling really good.
6-I cannot create if I am HOT...the temps have to be cool or cold...just makes me feel
more comfortable..(strange but true)
7-Love having my dogs around my feet..and chair while I create...they are great company
and once in a while - they lick my legs to remind me they are there...like a kiss!!!

Well - that is my answer to this past week's creative prompt from Studio Friday...

AMAZON WATERLILY AND A BRAVE THING

Here is another type of Lily....a Giant Amazon WaterLily....I love the pink in it.
This is the first one, that I applied a filter to after I was done painting it...the edges were
a bit harsh to me so I added a soften filter to it and it came out a bit better...
Took me a few days to finish it up...and I like it...Not perfect - but so me!!!

Did another major Brave thing yesterday - I jumped in the shower (not the brave part) and
got on some decent clothes (still not the brave part) and told my hunnie and daughter -
"Let's Go Out" (NOW THAT IS THE BRAVE PART)
Remember I live the life of a hermit...total hermit...I have been taking small
steps by sitting outside every day in the early evening till night with my hunnie
just chatting and such. Well, I have not been OUT OUT for at least 2 and a half months (I usually only go out for doctor appointments and such) - well my hunnie took me to a Chinese restaurant for dinner (my fav) and then out shopping so I could pick up things I have wanted.
WOW....I actually went shopping in Walmart and did not freak out and feel panicky. Not feeling panicky is the first time -since I became ill...WOW...what a GREAT evening!
I even picked up more art supplies such as flat board canvases, oil pastels, art paper, paints, and such...I finished up a few more Christmas presents..got some great M&M stuffies that only
come out at holiday time (we collect M&M things)...and at no point did I feel like an anxiety attack was starting or anything...this is a GREAT SUCCESS for me...
Thanks for reading this far -
The waterlily is my entry for Day 29 of AEDM.

RED TRILLIANS AND MORE

Before I show you my latest digital painting...as you may or may not have noticed I changed the look of my art blog. I just had to...the other one made my blog feel dull and disconnected to who I am...(does that make sense?) I like colors to jump out and pop so I figured with a white background and coloring in everything else and the colors of my art would make it more interesting and appealing. Let me know what you think...I am always up to suggestions.
Today was a GREAT day because my daughter and husband did the grocery shopping (as usual) but the best part is my daughter brought home a new art journal for me to start and several
blank flat canvases of different sizes and acrylic paints. WOW...I am really excited.
Of course my head just started going crazy about ideas...she also bought us some composition notebooks...she said we could decorate them and make them journals for others. (you gotta love the kid)
So now I have a bit more to be creative with....

I believe the flower is called red trillian...but I am not sure...someone in a group I belong to
send the photo to the group and this is what I did...painted it digitally.
It reminds me of Christmas...
