BIG YELLOW ROSE

WOW - talk about falling off the face of the planet - no I didn't but I sure
disappear for long periods of time - I am sorry....
I thought I would upload a digital painting I recently completed...the good
news is I have stayed somewhat creative - it is very restrictive due to construction
happening at the old homestead - hopefully things will settle out soon...
all of my art supplies are packed away - our new computer/craft room is not ready
yet to move into.Anyway - in between the chaos I created this rose which I am really pleased
with - very soft to me and I love the yellow in it!
It took me several long weeks to complete it - I have no idea why but I
am glad it is done and I can finally share it.

WAVY FLOWER EFFECTS

Feeling better - not so dragging today (Thank God)...so of course I played a while in
Paint Shop Pro..it was fun (as always) and came up with three creations that make
me feel happy today.
The top one seems almost dreamy to me...I like the soft lines -waviness and it has a
flower look to me..I also like the way the colors work with each other.
So playing with some more filters - this is my next one:

This one I added a watercolor filter to...really looks terrific (to me)
and then of course I had to work with mosaic filters (my favorite) and this next one
popped up:
I am really pleased with the results...really enjoyed creating today...
it relaxed me...and made me feel like I really accomplished something.
Well - I am really pleased with myself - I have been on a roll to blog and create
every day now since the beginning of November...This is a HUGE brave step for
me because it takes A LOT of inner strength for me to share my creations...I am
so in fear of being rejected or someone claiming that what I do is NOT art..
Truly it scares me...but today I am feeling so much more better with it.

START OF KALEIDOSCOPE SERIES - ROSE

I thought about what kind of art I wanted to do now. I know that AEDM is over but

I want to keep creating...to keep those ideas and inspiration flowing...
so I have decided to create my own Kaleidoscope digital images.
I am going to do a whole series of them...
Just something I started playing with in paint shop pro and I like some of the ones
I have already done...so here is the first one I am going to share--

Believe it or not....I call it Rose...lol I think I must have some inner
thing going on about roses..strange but it keeps coming in my head!
Now of course I had to play with some filters and see what I could do with it...
so here is another one of the same image but squared off
I have no idea how I get the images I get....I just play and then something shows up.
I like the free flow playing around that is happening with me...
I love the colors in them....but honestly the top one is my favorite.

STAR FISH

Here is my newest creation - with the aid of paint shop pro...I painted my version
of a starfish in the ocean.
Again I do like the way this one came out...
It is nothing fancy - but I like it!!!!

COLORFUL INK BLOTS

I just had to play in Paint Shop Pro again...this time I created colorful ink blots and
swirled them, twisted them and just kept adding colors until I was happy with the vibrant colors in it.
I like the way it turned out. I am slowly but surely learning what I can and cannot do with psp..
the possibilities are endless.
This is my entry for Day 23 of AEDM.
I hope everyone had a BEAUTIFUL Thanksgiving. Here it was just my hunnie, daughter and myself...we made way too much food...it was all absolutely delicious...really a peaceful
and loving time together!! What more could I ask for!

FEATHERY FIRE AND THANKSGIVING

This is my first original painting in Paint Shop Pro...I just decided to let things flow nothing specific...no goals in mind and this is what I created. I love it...I like the flow in it...the colors....and a sort of softness to it! I am quite pleased with the outcome... This is my entry for Day 22 of AEDM. I even got a chance to update my personal journal ELLIE'S CRAZY LIFE...you can always pop on over there and see what is up! I wanted to wish you and yours a Very BLESSED and BEAUTIFUL Thanksgiving. ALTERING PHOTO CHALLENGE

My friend Anke offers challenges in her blog called CREATIVE SPIRITS CONNECT.
I have wanted to participate...the last challenge is altering photos...but my photos are all
digital..I don't have them printed out...so I could not figure out how I was going to participate in this challenge. Then today it came to me - (I seem to be running on slow as far as my thinking goes) I can manipulate my photo in paint shop pro and see what I come up with. (I don't think Anke was thinking digitally) But I played around with filters I have never used before and the above are the results...I know the photo is small and you cannot see all the details - sorry...I am just going to leave it like that because
I don't want to mess up anything...but I had fun!!!
The picture is of my three kids during a visit in April 2007.
So this is my answer to the challenge...Thanks for Looking!!!

MY FIRST MANDALA

Well I went ahead and did it...I created my own MANDALA...I have seen these wonderful objects in several blogs and decided to try it out(they are definitely things that have been inspiring me this past month)....I have to fix my printer so I could not print out a template that I have of a premade mandala (uncolored) so I designed my own in paint shop pro and colored it in digitally....I wanted to use bright colors to attract ones' attention. I am also still
playing with the concept of lines and circles...so this is what I made...one of my most favorite shapes is stars...so of course I had to put one in...it made me smile when I was done because
of all the bright colors...a bit crude in the creation of it...but I think a darn good try for a first time.
I also updated my everyday blog - would love for you all to go check it out...it is an interesting entry to say the least...the words just flowed!

SHOPPING QUEEN

The above is an ATC card I made in dedication to shopping...I love it.
It is the first time I have ever used a black background...not too sure about it.
Then of course I could not leave well enough alone so I decided to manipulate the card
digitally with some filters in psp and these were the results:

This one above I used inverted hues...interesting I guess...

Now this filter was a fractal mirror sort of filter...I like it because it almost makes
it look like a playing card...
Well those are my entries for Day 8 of AEDM.

MOOD PHASES

I know I already have an entry today for AEDM but I wanted to play with a photo
today and see what I could do with it....
Here are my results:It is a picture of my daughter manipulated and colorized with several filters
until I got the effects that I liked.

BELIEVE ATC AND I SIGNED UP

Okay - I did it....I signed up for Create Art Every Day... I know I said

I would join next year...but there are no guarantees of where life will be by then..
and my creative "juices" and ideas are running now...so I took a deep breath in and signed up.
Since I have been creating everyday anyway...I am caught up with everyone else...

BIG PINK DAISY

I digitally painted this using a photo I found on the internet....the water drops
did not come out as well as I had hoped but I like the look...

ATC - BLACK AND WHITE MOSAIC

This is NOT suppose to look like anything in particular...I was playing with several
filters and manipulating the settings and made my own digital mosaic...I just like the effect.

COLORIZED LILLY

I took a picture of a calla lilly in my garden a while back and decided to manipulate the photo with different filters in paint shop pro....
I really like the different effects...so I combined all the different filters done with the photo and this is the result.
I like it alot!!!!

ATC - TRAVEL LABELS

Digitally created collage using several tubes of travel labels.
The top one is the original one..the bottom is the same using several different filters including BW...I really like how both turned out.

I recently created this card....using several psp tube images and several filters...
The top card is the original card...the bottom one I used different lighting filters to manipulate the picture...
These were created digitally in PSP.

DIGITAL PAINTING - PURPLE BUTTERFLY

Here is a digital painting I did ...found the image on the internet and decided to paint it.
I think this is one of my better ones...I really like the way it came out!

MAGNOLIA-DIGITALLY PAINTED

I painted this digitally using the thick chalk tool...
I think it gives it a feathery affect...not too sure how I feel about it
but at least I tried another way to create.

PURPLE SUNSET

Another great pic I found when surfing the internet...
Digitally painted using the spray gun....
I have found that when the finished product is smaller and seen
from a distance away...it looks so much more better.
I am really enjoying this medium and way of expression.
