SAND CASTLES - ATC CARD

I thought I would keep the theme going and just change the look
around on this ATC card---I think I am stuck on
all the vibrant colors - just makes me happy!!
So here is my newest card:

I could not resist because I just love sand castles--
hope it brings a smile to your face.

SPLASH - ATC CARD

Well for today I needed a change - I did not want to stick to one form of
creativity--I like playing around with digital anything that I can create - so
I decided to play with ATC cards (Artist Trading Cards). Now I am
sure that everyone has heard about them but in case you have not
they are small "canvases" of artwork (anything) the size of 2.5 x 3.5.
Very small and fun--you can do a million things with them - that is why I like
them - there is no limit--the possibilities are amazing!
So I did this one for today -


I am so loving the bright vibrant colors - just makes me want
to go to the beach--LOL.
I do try to keep my ATC cards simple - little stories-easy pictures..
I think sometimes you can put too much and lose anything you are
trying to express! (just my opinion)
I also wanted to say - THANKS SO MUCH - for all the feedback in the comment
section --I am touched by all the support and encouragement - again Thanks!

YELLOW NARCISUSS

Yes I know - I have painted another yellow flower but it seems I am attracted to
very bright and vibrant colors and I cannot help myself - LOL.
Yellow is a color that makes people happy (whether they know it or not)....it
also gives off or makes one feel very energetic - so perhaps that
is why I am prone to painting more yellow flowers then other colors...hmmm!
Well it is Day 4 and here is my painting for today-

This is a yellow Narcisuss..almost looks like a daffodil--
I like finding pictures that have a bright subject and the background
is darker--makes those beautiful colors just stand out!!
Anyway--I want to THANK all you wonderful visitors for stopping by-

contributing to a lot of healing for me - and supporting me and

PINK CHAMPAGNE

I am starting to meet so many lovely people through AEDM. Makes me feel really positive about doing these challenges. It is so easy for someone like me, who suffers from severe depression, to get overwhelmed easily - but this is my third year participating in AEDM and this year seems to be filled with more people who reach out to others. The creativity that I have noticed so far just amazes me..I am in awe~!~ Truly I would love a tenth of the talent that I have seen - just amazing. Here is my painting for today: Someone told me it was called "Pink Champagne". I like the name. I also love the pink in it - bright and fun. I am pretty happy with the results - do not worry - I will not be just painting all month - I am going to mix it up a bit because I do not want to feel pressured or bored with only creating one way... CUTE YELLOW FLOWER

Day Two of "the challenges" and so far so good - LOL.

Most of the time - my head is going in a thousand different directions
so I tend to leave out a lot....

I digitally painted this flower from a photo I received from a friend
of mine - I love the vibrant yellow in this one - I really like the
way it came out - one of my better paintings!!!!
I love painting flowers - nature has the most awesome colors - I
am in awe of it all~!~

TWO-THIRTY DAY CHALLENGES

WOW - October just flew by me - I was a bit busy and it took off.

I was not really ready for November to start but here we go.
November is both Art Every Day Month and National Blog Posting Month...
Both are 30 day commitments sort of speak - of course rules were made
to be broken - but the gist is that you complete these projects by participating every
day for one month...last year I was able to do it - and I am going to try again this year.
I am kind of "cheating" here because I am going to use my art
every day as my post for blogging every day - kind of kill two birds with one stone--LOL.
Here is a flower that I digitally painted that I thought I would start off with.....

A yellow hibiscus - I like the way it turned out - tho it is kind of
difficult to see the stamen on it but in general - it came out nice.
So here's to a month of creativity and blogging...

PURPLE ROSE

This is a purple rose that I digitally painted - my inspiration was a photo
that was sent to me and my favorite color is purple - so it was
screaming at me to paint it-LOL.
I am pleased with the way it came out -
I think I will add this one to the creative every day group..YAY~~

SIMPLE SUNFLOWER

Here is a digital painting that I recently completed - it took me several weeks but I think
it turned out fairly well - I love doing paintings of nature - the colors to me are
always brighter and scream energy!
Sunflowers always made me smile seeing them looking at the sun and just growing.
To me, nature is beauty!

VIOLETS

Slowly but surely I am getting in grove of digital painting again....this time around it
seems to be taking longer for me to complete a painting but I am not pushing myself.
This is a violet - I really like the blue/purplish color it has. The picture is a lot sharper
in my file - but once uploaded it looks blurry - sheesh!

So how do you get yourself into the grove after not being creative for a period of time?
Would love to know how others have dealt with it!
Well again - I think I will enter this one in Creative Everyday...it is nice getting back into the swing of things~!~

ORANGE DAISIES

Yes I am back - I have updated everyone as to what has been going on with me

ATC-O XMAS TREE

I am getting into the Christmas spirit - so I thought I would create
an ATC card just for that reason!!!
I am so not into all the hustle and bustle - but I love having any kind of Christmas
tree up at my house (this year we have a small one)...and seeing gifts under it for others...
and the lights on the tree glowing away!
Just so much fun!

I know the card is simple but so the holiday should be too!

ATC-POLAR BEAR SKATING - FINISHED AEDM

YES YES YES YES!!!!
I did it - I created lil bits of art every day for the month of November!!
I cannot believe I actually made it -
and the great part is that the art just flowed...there was NOT one day where I was
stuck over something to create - everything just flowed..came together and to be
honest - I really love each and every piece of ATC cards that I made...
30 days 30 ATCS!

I am so proud of me - It was a great challenge for me - and it helped me to break
through A LOT of self doubt that I had. I am also surprised that I created only
ATC cards - it was not my intention to stick to one medium - one form of artwork - but
I did - because the ideas were just flowing - and coming to mind so easily!!
I am THRILLED!!!

The above ATC I just loved - polar bears remind me of coca cola (one of my favorite drinks)
and the skating just cracks me up.

I thank you all for your support and encouraging comments - you have no idea how much
your support help to guide me through this month of challenge!
I so appreciate your kindness!

ATC-SNOWMAN STARS

When I saw this snowman - with the quirky look on its face - I just knew
I had to make an ATC card out of it...nothing fancy...just enough
to show off the snowman and its stars.
Of course I like it first and foremost because it is purple - now how cool is that.

I think I am stuck on snowman because I have not seen any in over 20 years...
So I have to get my fill of it somehow.

This is my entry today for AEDM...only one more day to go to this
"creative challenge".

ATC-PENGUIN LOVE

Here are a couple of more penguins from that series...but these two are in love.
Can you just feel it.....LOL.
The little hearts says "Love Never Melts".
I think they are adorable - I love the floating flowers...I wanted to use flowers instead
of hearts but giving the same effect.
No real quote on this - I think the hand holding speaks volumes!!!

ATC-PENGUIN HEARTS

I found this penguin and thought it was just too cute - so I had to make it into
an ATC card....the hearts are kind of whimsy looking....but I really like
his scarf.

Again - no quotes or anything - so that it can be used for whatever occasion comes up.
Personally I am starting to like it that way - saves a lot of time - and trying to match up
words is just not as easy as you might think.

This is my entry today for AEDM...only 5 days left to Art Every Day Month..
what a wonderful and creative challenge it has been - I am thrilled I have made it
this far.

ATC-SNOWMAN SWEATER

Now this is hardy snowman - I so love the sweater that he has on.
I created this one as part of a series with the one below....again the snowflakes are
too cute, along with the mittens....
No quotes or sayings on it....just ATC's that you can decide in your head what it means or
what it is saying to you.

Sometimes adding text to ATC's is forcing an identity to it that perhaps other
people do not see or feel about it.
Usually I use quotes or sayings when a theme is already set in my mind about what
I am creating!

ATC-SNOW PEOPLE

Today (Monday) it seems I am just running late trying to get everything posted.
Woke up with a nasty migraine headache and just slept the time away...my head would not
let me do anything else.

The above is my ATC for Monday - snow people....I like it because again it is
simple - but the colors (or lack there of) kind of bum me out.
I would have to say my favorite thing is the snowflakes - just too cute...

I like the playfulness of it all....

ATC -COUNTRY AUTUMN

Here is yet another fall/autumn ATC card that I created....this one again is pretty simple.
I like it because it used country like elements that gives it
a home feel for me....especially the hearts at the top and the girl.

I also seem to be leaning towards the warm colors - most likely because of the time of year.
I only have one week left to Art Every Day Month.....
this year really has flowed for me....no straining to try and figure out what to do or what
to create - just going with the flow and it has really worked out.

We will see what the last week brings to the creative front...
